About the Image
Okavango Delta, October 2025
A cub rests against his father's muzzle. Jaws that defend him from everything else now still beneath his weight. Male lions rarely show this kind of proximity with their young. What looked like annoyance shifted into play, the cub pawing at his father's face until the old male relented. A brief window before independence replaces dependence.
The Print
Each print is produced using 310gsm etching rag, a premium museum-grade fine-art paper made from 100% cotton.
It has a beautiful matte finish that provides exceptional detail, tonal depth and colour reproduction, while minimising distracting reflections. The paper is made to archival standards and is designed to preserve the photograph for generations.
Each print is produced using Canon Lucia Pro II ink and individually inspected before leaving the studio.

Each photograph is released as a strictly limited edition, individually signed and numbered by me.
Once an edition is sold out, it will never be reproduced.

Every print is produced to order, carefully inspected and securely packaged for delivery.
Prints are supplied unframed, allowing you to choose a frame and presentation that suits your space.
